{"id":1399,"date":"2012-01-17T11:51:44","date_gmt":"2012-01-17T15:51:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allenbyparents.com\/blog2\/?p=1399"},"modified":"2012-01-17T11:51:44","modified_gmt":"2012-01-17T15:51:44","slug":"committee-to-address-overcrowding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allenbyparents.com\/blog2\/committee-to-address-overcrowding\/","title":{"rendered":"Committee to Address Overcrowding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you know,  the APA held a meeting for Allenby parents on T<strong>hursday, December 15th<\/strong> to  discuss various potential processes that may be rolled out by the  TDSB  in the new year to address the existing over-crowding at Allenby  and to  deal with the need to find space for full-day kindergarten,  which will  arrive at Allenby in 2014-2015.<\/p>\n<p>At  the meeting we:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>advised parents that we understand  this Fall the  TDSB Staff have begun internal discussions regarding  space accommodation  issues at Allenby and other schools;<\/li>\n<li>informed  parents about the  various potential TDSB processes available if the  TDSB were to move  forward and address this issue;<\/li>\n<li>re-assured  parents that if the TDSB  wished to move ahead with any changes there  will be opportunity for  parent and community feedback before any  decisions were made, and<\/li>\n<li>most  importantly, asked parents who may wish to engage in any such  process,  as either a member of a committee or as a leader, to come  forward and  let us know.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We\u00a0continue  to\u00a0encourage any parents who wish to  lead or\u00a0be a part of a\u00a0committee  to respond to any process that the  TDSB may put in place to contact Lisa  and Rochelle:  \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:APACommunityAwareness@yahoo.ca\">APACommunityAwareness@yahoo.ca<\/a> by January 15, 2012.  If you are interested, please include in your   email whether your children are in the English or French Immersion   tracks or both.
