Days of Significance and Heritage\/History months<\/strong>: Throughout the school year we will be recognizing important Days of Significance and Heritage\/History months.\u00a0We are encouraging students to select a Day of Significance or Heritage\/History month, do some research, write 4-5 sentences about the topic and then record themselves. We’ll play them on the announcements. Refer to the Heritage Months<\/a> section for further details.<\/li>\n
  2. Land Acknowledgement<\/strong>: All TDSB schools begin the school day with the Land Acknowledgement, just before the playing of O’Canada.\u00a0We would like to extend an opportunity to any interested students to participate in recording themselves reading one of the Land Acknowledgements.\u00a0Each day one student’s recording will be used.\u00a0The name of the student and his\/her class will be announced before the recording is played.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
