As we head into the summer after a rollercoaster of a year, the Health and Wellness team is looking towards September. What will the fall look like? What supports will our community need?<\/p>\n
This past year our teachers and staff at Allenby<\/span> have done an amazing job providing support, learning goals, and a smiling face \u2013 whether in person or online. That said, the TDSB has stated that students “may be feeling\u00a0 lonely, worried, bored and under stress while others are feeling happy and hopeful (TDSB 2021)”.<\/p>\n It is important for us to recognize that each of our experiences over the past 14 months has been different and that we are now “Moving forward” not “Returning to normal (or new normal).”<\/p>\n The health and wellness team’s focus for 2021\/2022 will be on community building and mental health.
